Creation Care Action Committee Low Waste Contest Has Ended

Dates for Submission for Drawing were: – August 1 – September 4. The contest has now ended.

Every household at St. Peter's is encouraged to participate in a drawing for some great eco-prizes that will show your support for reducing waste in your home. Three lucky winners will be randomly drawn from the participants who submit their Low Waste Ideas. To be automatically entered into to the drawing, all you have to do is submit one great idea for reducing waste at home that your family has tried or will pledge to try. This includes reducing physical waste and/or reducing waste of energy. See the "Creation Care Corner" write-up in the July newsletter (or archived on the CCAC website) for more inspiration.

There is a separate drawing for kids who submit an idea (for this purpose, a “kid” is defined as someone who is high school age or younger). Kids can submit an idea of their own, or an idea that their family has had (it's OK for a kid to submit an idea that their family has also submitted). For this drawing, three winners will be selected at random, and each will receive a book related to the world of nature.

After the drawing, members of the CCAC will compile a list of examples of what people in our parish are doing (or planning on doing) along with the names of those people (unless you let us know that you’d prefer to remain anonymous) and this list will be posted on the CCAC website. By participating in this drawing, you agree to allow your idea to be posted in such a list if it is selected.

Here is a list of prizes for the adult/family drawing:

1.    A $50 gift card for Amend Market – a sustainable refill shop (https://amendmarket.com/)

2.    Norwex Package (Eco-friendly cleaning products; Valued at $50)

3.    Brita filtered water bottle & replacement filter (Valued at $40).
