Laura Lipscomb, Director of Youth Ministry - Growing up as the youngest of six children in Charlotte, NC, Laura Lipscomb has always been comfortable with groups of kids. Her teenage years were filled with EYC at her local Episcopal parish St. John’s, along with summers as a camper and staff member at YMCA Camp Cheerio. Throughout college Laura worked with fellowship and youth groups until upon her graduation from UNC-Chapel Hill, she realized her calling to full time professional youth ministry. She has served parishes in NC, and was Diocesan Coordinator for Youth Ministries in the Diocese of Florida, which included being the summer camp director for the diocesan camp, Camp Weed. Her husband, George teaches at Furman University and her two sons Burke and Josh are almost both out of school and on their own. Laura joined the awesome staff at St. Peter’s in 2017 and enjoys her ¾ time position as youth minister here very much.
