The Reverend Charles Messer became the Rector of St Peter’s on August 1, 2023. Chuck and his wife, Diane, live in Greer with their 2 dogs Daisy and Scout. They have three adult children: Emma, Arman and Aidana. Chuck likes to fish, mow grass, and embarrass his children when possible. 

Ordained in 2003, Fr Chuck has served parishes in Kansas City, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and southern New Jersey. He earned his M.Div. at the Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO. in 2001 and in 2002 Certificate of Anglican Studies at the School of Theology, at The University of The South in Sewanee, TN.
